Zweigle Textilprüfmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG is recognized worldwide as an industry leader in the field of textile testing equipment. Founded in 1919 Zweigle is a privately held German company dedicated to developing technologies and machinery used for fibre, yarn, and fabric testing.  Testing equipment from Zweigle is used in every textile market worldwide and is known for the highest of quality standards.

Zweigle testing equipment can be found in all levels of the textile industry from leading manufacturers, machine manufacturers, technical universities, and research institutes around the world.  The equipment covers the entire spectrum of textiles from fibre to fabric, with an additional emphasis on specific areas of expertise.  Pioneer work has always been at the forefront, with Gottlob Zweigles invention of the staple sorter in 1919, to numerous other “firsts” such as the automated twist tester and fabric simulation from actual yarn data.  Since over a quarter of a century the Zweigle method of testing yarn hairiness is commonly accepted throughout the world as the most dependent and precise measurement available.

Zweigles obligation to our customer’s is to provide the highest quality testing equipment possible.  An experienced technical staff supports the full product range which encompasses standard equipment such as yarn reels, strength testers, count systems, and yarn evenness testers to specialized machinery for optical yarn testing and fibre cohesiveness. Regardless of if an individual customized solution is required, or a complete “turn key” laboratory with all the necessary testing equipment, Zweigle is in a position to deliver these solutions for fibre manufacturers, yarn spinners, weavers or knitters from raw cotton material to the emerging field of technical textiles.
