Device for checking the optical
metering channels on the
Hairiness Tester G 566

has been supplemented with a test- menu by means of
which the state of all optical channels can be checked and where necessary
corrected.
The only requirement is a hardware component that has to be
built into the G 566, namely an "electronic
interrogation system” for checking the photo-electric cells used
for hairiness measurement. The light intensity reaching the photoelectric cell is measured and compared in the PC with the values preset
ex-works during initial calibration. Any future calibration will be conducted
via the
OPTO-Check G 566 together with test yarns that have previously
been checked out on a master G 566 (calibration machine).

How does the OPTO- Check G 566 work?
|
|
The OPTO- Check G 566- Function operates only in conjunction with
G 566 Version 3.3 and the auxiliary hardware. To activate the program the
"Optic- TEST" must be started up on the G 566. |
The values for each channel, set ex-works, are
recorded in the G 566 in numerical and graph form (reference – green) and
transferred to the PC when
START SCAN is activated. The
momentary state of the channel is continually monitored and serves as an aid
when matching the channels to the
REFERENCE.
In the process of
checking the G 566 these are compared with the current settings (numerical
values and red bars).
The state of the „0“-channels is monitored as well:
Black=covered, white=illuminated. |
Benefits:
- Routine
checking of the Hairiness Tester G 566 is now possible. But checks should be
made only about every 3 months.
- It is
preferable for the customer himself to calibrate independently of any yarn
influence.

After lamp replacement the customer possesses the means for
restoring the optical conditions comparable to those previously
prevailing.
